I’m Irwin Piel, a 2D/3D Motion Designer based in Paris, blending street culture, graphic design, sketching, graffiti, and cinematic motion design into a unified visual identity.
Before working in motion design, I developed a strong artistic background through projects centered around the NBA, with a minimalistic and urban aesthetic.
In 2015, I released my first series of artworks: minimalist portraits of NBA players in the colors of their franchises. The media outlet Trashtalk discovered my work and gave me my first exposure.
This led to several international exhibitions in Barcelona, Lille (Hoops Factory), Amsterdam (GoGallery), and Taipei (Taiwan).
I later created Line Art, a collection of NBA portraits made from hundreds of nails and threads, crafted entirely by hand. In 2019, the project reached the United States when Blake Griffin acquired one of my pieces. Shortly after, NBA France invited me to the NBA Crossover Paris to exhibit and perform a live Line Art creation on stage.
Today, I specialize in realistic 3D, brand motion design, cinematic animation, FX, kinetic typography, and premium art direction.
My work focuses on lighting, materials, composition, and visual rhythm, creating modern, impactful and design‑driven motion pieces.
Based in Paris, I collaborate with brands and studios in tech, luxury, sports, entertainment, and premium product industries.
